I'm going to a wedding reception on Saturday.
It's at quite a posh (but casual) venue.
I am somewhat renowned for being a bit of an entertainer/joker.
What I would like to to is buy a set of very cheap wine glasses in the box, wrap it absolutely beautiful (all in white) with a huge bow and put it in a Versace gift bag.
Walk past the restaurant (everyone sat outside) Tim & I will be wearing matching white suits (pale spearmint t-shirts with matching sunglasses and shoes) .... Think Miami Vice meets men in black (only in white). I'd imagine everyone will notice us..... when we are called over I intend to accidentally trip up, the box goes flying and the sound of smashing glass should be quite dramatic.......
I'd imagine it will create quite a scene of horror, humor and obviously those lost for words.
After a few minutes I will present them with a card saying " Sorry about the accident .... Congratulations" !!!!
We have also been told not to bring gifts .... just to add, my partner knows nothing of what I am going to do, it will be just as shocking for him !!!!!
The Bride & Groom are extremely good sports with a very good sense of humor (to a certain degree they will be expecting some kind of stunt).
Good idea or no ?
