Patience Heather, all good things come to those who wait! :hug: & besides I need a few more weeks to save some money and decide which shoes I need to take, but then again that will depend on the colour of the new dress I still need to buy LOL. I have read all the posts in this thread & those in the shellac threads, and would love to come to THE EVENT it sounds brilliant, im just in two minds
I live in Essex & dont drive so would be getting the train down, will be on my own too, & only do manicures - but am really interested in the shellac! I understand you gets lots of products included in the price & the shellac kit - but if there is nail extension, arcylic etc goodies that is not any good for me!
What hotel are most people staying in?
Are most people staying friday & saturday nights?
Does anyone have the hotels number where the event is held so I can phone to see if they have any rooms left and also how much it costs?
All in all it will work out a very expensive trip, including a Saturday off work!
So confused .... oh what to do!

I think most people will be staying in the hotel where the Event is - if you google the Island hotel, Hinkley you will get the details. I booked online rather than calling so dont have the number.

It is probably better not to speculate and gossip about what is and is not included in the goodies - how disappointing would Christmas Day be if we all knew beforehand what we were getting.

I was at the last Event and it was great for us as much I am sure as it was for our hosts that after our breaks we came into the room and ooh'd and aah'd at our unexpected goodies.

Lol, I remember walking in and sitting down and we all had black cases on the tables with creative on them... I unzipped that zip slower than I have ever unzipped any zip before lmfao... The other people around me were just opening theirs and I was trying so hard not to see so I could keep the suspense going hahahahaha, It was enamels...

Just sharing my memory there lol, you reminded me then

I think the point is you get to benefit from great education and information for two days by industry greats. I have trained in L&P and have used Brisa since the last Event but mainly now do natural nail care and yet the Event will be just as great for me as it would have been had I specialised in say L&P.

The goodies are an added bonus, gifts, they shouldn't influence going or not...........

Hahahaha Ems, I remember opening that box and realising it also marked the Event coming to an end and actually thinking how the hell did that happen, we only just got here! It flew by so fast!

Ive just booked my ticket whoop!! I'm so excited and nervous as I'm just getting back into nails after a long break least I've booked onto l&p basics to refresh my memory on 30th march whoop!!

I said quite a while ago to anyone wondering whether to go or not If funds allow JUST DO IT ... you will not regret it even a tiny bit.

The whole thing did kind of pass in a whirlwind, It was sad at the end saying goodbye to everyone.

And I think Because I drove home on the saturday night and back again on the sunday morning, the whole thing felt totally surreal.
As scared as I am, I am also dead happy I am staying over this time so I can join in that fun too woo...

So much will be learned from this whole event again, Like I say....
I am a nail sponge...NOW SOAK ME ! :green::green::green:

Yeeha! I'm getting more excited by the day:lol: Only worry now is which 3 workshops to choose, I wanna go to them all!

On a more trivial note, can someone advise what everyone wears during the day? I'm guessing that on Sunday if we're participating in workshops that salon wear would be best, but if I'm reading the details correctly Saturday is more of a "listen & learn" day so guessing anything goes? Also I know that we're getting to dress up for the party on Saturday night, but for those of us who are staying on Friday night also, is this just a sort of social, meet everyone in the bar sort of night? (Not that we'll be drinking much of course as we don't want to miss a single minute of anything next day).

I too think I know what 3 sessions I would like to attend ........... STILL need to lose some more weight .............. but if I don't it wont stop me enjoying myself .
Its going to be a BLAST cant wait to experience "The Event II" after all you lucky geeks had to say about last years there was no way I was going to miss this years I feel very lucky to be able to go!
