Cathie, I take it you mean the pinky purple nails and the animal print images?

I guess different things will always appeal to different people. For me, (42 yr old mum of 2 with fairly classic tastes) neither appeal to me. :hug: Neither would encourage me to come to you.

Or have I looked at the wrong thing lol?

As Salon Geeks resident poncy graphic designer (Self-appointed of course) I like the purple and pink flash image, not sure it entirely fits with the look-and-feel of the rest of the site though.

I'd work on the logo as well really....gets sorta cramped towards the end of the type.

Cathie, i think it's cool, yet tacky at the same time, it could well work (I actually like it from a graphics perspective), it could be great on a webpage using all the same colors. as Kath would say "NOICE KIMMY" ..... hope someone doesn't pinch it and it ends up everywhere

I have voted - it's pants!

It would not attract me because I would consider the place to be full of teenagers with skimpy outfits & loud music.

I, as a 45yr old mother of 2 teenagers would avoid it & find somewhere altogether more up market!

I know you Spa is fab hun, but that's what it says to me, assuming I was unaware of you.

So who are you looking to attract?

It would be interesting to see what age the geeks are responding, so as to gauge which age group it appeals to?

Well I am 44 and I like it & I'm no bimbo. I think the name gets pushed to one side a bit so maybe that could be bigger or clearer and the picture a little smaller 'coz it is the company name you want to promote. Once it stops moving its a little lost or maybe pale, perhaps it should be darker and larger or brighter and larger. I think it has impact.

Also, I think it would attract all ages not just younger people who go for how something looks but people of more mature years look at quality, content, and prices. You could include some poss. reccomendations from clients showing their ages, have a cross section.

I do like it in a way but I think if I was looking for a salon I would assume that it was a bit young for me.

i guess it depends on the clients you want hunnio... mite be seen to be a bit too 'young' iykwim
.... its trying to find the middle ground... as yet im totally clueless re my website...
(the layout and design look fab btw ... i like the little 'wurly' bits at the top and the colours)

The main thing is how do you see the image?,.... does it reflect what you want it too hunnio?

I think that if it was more nails than the pretty eye and nails and lips it would be better from a nail salon aspect... but then you also do other stuff too... like waxing and tanning....

what abt a more 'spa' with nails related image?...or go more simple even than that... with just a pretty design and your logo rather than an image.....

ooooo just had another idea ,... you could always have a few images you chop and change to suit... kinda like the background of the 4oD site (iykwim) that changes frequently!

Thanks for that....that page is just the first draft so is nowhere near started never mind finished lol!

The logo is completely wrong..so that has to be redone.

There will be a testamonials section on there too.

I was just initially wondering about the image because personally I don't like it, but does that fact that I don't like it make it wrong for the website as I'm one individual with my own likes and dislikes....hence the poll.

I am sure as the site grows I'll be putting it up again to gather some more opinion and feedback.

Yeh I really like it.

I've actually seen it before, nearly bought a wordpress theme for my own new site, with the same image.

Only decided against it because they weren't my colours.

I think it would attract a range of clientelle. It is very modern and fresh. Very 21st century. Love it.

I am 28, and I personally LOVE it (the main image that is)
I like the animal print one, but I LOve the top one,

But what I would say...is if you don't like it, don't use it cathie,
You have to be happy with all aspects of your website hun,
It has to reflect YOU,
It will give people more of an insight into who they are going to meet, and what they will be greeted with, etc...

I'd really think about changing it if you're not in love with it yourself hun xxxx
