I'm sorry if i offended anyone it wasn't my intention! xxx

I am sure you haven't..it is nice your thought's and comments were actually posative if you look at it from the perspective that you passed comment on :hug::hug:

Well speaking personally from my own point of view.. I don't feel fickle AT ALL. I am in awe of Lori Nestore and won't have my excitement taken away by people who feel threatened for what ever reason that she is coming.

I have trained with both Andy for my male waxing and Kim for my female brizilian waxing. I would never say that Lori is better or worse than these two respected wax specialists or experts as they like to be known.. but like Bagpuss said, we can have respect and admiration from more than one or two people can't we? For goodness sake, its bizzare how this thread has turned from something really positive for some of us into feeling that we can't discuss this lady in case we tread on other's toes.

I have lots of people that I have respect for from all sorts of fields in life... one particular lady is Geeg, who could not be inspired from a nail guru like her?

Now I am more into waxing, I cannot get enough of wax posts and getting all the info and knowledge to become a fabulous waxer. Andy and Kim plus lots of other experienced/expert waxers on here have given me no end of excellent advise and information to take away and learn from. Lori is just someone else that I admire, obviously along with many other geeks going off the positive comments on here, can't we welcome her and enjoy her experience while she is in this country without being labled fickle?

Live and let live I say. I am sure nobody will loose out by this lady visiting our shores and sharing her 23 years of experience with those that are interested.

Lori's visit is a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of waxing in the UK and it's going to be good for ALL of us, regardless of our chosen brand or level of experience.

As Lori herself has said many times before now: there's room in this world for more than one queen. Which is just as well, because I can be the biggest drama queen of them all! :D :D

Very true Andy..... as for you being the biggest drama queen Andy.. well I am not sure about that as I don't know you that well but I would definitely say one of the cutest

well if she comes to manchester then i would love to see her , same as i would love to see andy or kim , .. or anyone whos fab at their job :green:
i could watch anyone whos great all day long , lol i just soak it up , x

Welcome Lori I am looking forward to meeting you and learning from you:)

What I would like to have happen is that we are all in this together. I NEVER have a problem with other experts! We need each other to keep the industry going. So at this point I have exchanged quite a few emails and insites with both the UK Wax Queen and Axiom and would think we can all be in the same room and pub together.

I would be just as happy to have anyone and everyone attend my seminars, regardless of who they work for and what they do. My message board has always been a site to assist professionals regardless of what brand they use and even though it is my site I still don't hammer my product line.

So cheers to all us queens and kings! Wax ON!

Wow I think we should all just realise how lucky we are to have contributions from some of the top talent IN THE WORLD - Sam must be so proud! This site was always so heavily biased towards nails as it was originally The Nail Geek and we have some of the world's top talent on here and beauty never really got a look in. But how that acorn has grown and we should feel privileged to have such trustworthy knowledge at our disposal. Take a step back and don't read too literally into what people write. Let's hope that soon we will get the Hair forum buzzing too!

I just wish I could get excited about waxing I really do. But it has never done it for me and bikini waxes just leave me cold, and full leg waxes make me want to curl up and die. You all have my admiration

I agree Sass, and to keep it all as a "group" in it together is FAB,
Thats why we are all here, and what leads us here in the first place.

I can't wait to get into waxing again and get my qualification !

I love it....It's theraputic I think..getting that minging manly leg..and turning it smooth as a baby's bum...( and thats just my own im talking about )

I just love waxing and could wax lyrical (pun intended) all day long on waxing in fact my OH gets fed up with me going on sometimes - bless him.

What is it that leaves you cold Sass? I just get such satisfaction from a job well done, although I have to admit full leg waxes - zzzzzzz.

To have the ability for us all to have an input, no matter how BIG or small we are across such a diverse range of topics is awsome and one we should all be very privelaged and proud of being a part of.

What an inspiration it is to see so many viewpoints gathered together under one forum which can only take this site to world beating levels and one that is of so much help, inspiration and assistance to those that need it when they need it.

It is so important for us to respect the view point's and speciolist skills of others around us and focus on making this buisness,(no matter if we file nails, cut hair, spray you brown or stick things in your ears) one that is worthwhile participating in.

If we can just focus on what we do best then the "sky has no limit's" and our future is secure:hug:

I am pleased to comfirm a date Lori is scheduled to land on our fair shores as being the 28th July 2008 and she should be here for around 4 day's.

So hopefully this won't clash with any holiday dates booked by intrested parties.

We are currently working on venues and which once finolised will be made available both on our website and in the trade press.

Exciting stuff

In my diary now! I would be really grateful for a heads up when the Scottish date is, as I would love to attend.

Thanks Collin.

Oh where is my diary.. right booked them dates down... just going to go and cancel my holiday to the Caribbean... :wink2:
